Where Passion and Dedication Meet
Our dedicated team of Arts Center Volunteers are at the heart of what we do, utilizing their unique skills and passion to move the work of our Arts Organization forward. Without these people, the F-LC Arts Center would not be where it is today. Meet some of our team below.
Jen first got involved with the Arts Center as a volunteer and has been elected President since 2019. Jen is a wife and mother who loves Jesus and believes in the mission of the Arts Center. She does her part to keep the administrative side of things moving while encouraging folks to gather around art and make it! She also enjoys hosting Open Mic events with her husband, Dale.
I'm a data analyst for an orthopedic group out of Nashville. The Arts Center gives me the space and opportunity to express my creative side. They have given me inspiration along with great friendship.
I have made several connections within the area and like to share all the benefits the Arts Center offers.
I’ve been creative since I was in middle school. I love all forms of art and my current favorite is mixed media. My greatest joy is making art with my 3 grandchildren.
I’m excited about what the Arts Center offers and I want to share that passion with our community.
I am a Mother, Wife and Grandma of five. I sell and teach papercrafting classes that include handmade greeting cards, scrapbook pages and various other paper crafts. In addition, I assist with Art Day (school field trips) and other events as needed for the Center. Sign up for one of my classes and come have fun at the Arts Center!
I am an illustrator with a love for books and visual storytelling. I work full-time as an illustrator with a focus on middle grade publishing, and I am always seeking to take on new projects. I have been drawing most of my life and I love creating images that tap into the wonder of being a kid and discovering big stories for the first time. Over the past 10 years I have taken on a wide variety of creative projects ranging from illustrating book covers to launching and art directing a monthly magazine. Most recently, I’ve had the pleasure of creating artwork for clients such as The Rabbit Room, Square Halo Press, and Bandersnatch Books, and Moody Publishers.
I’M MARK HAWLEY, and I have 60 years of knowledge and ideas about painting. I always had an interest in drawing and in painting. I was 11 years old when I learned some painting tricks from my older brother. That one lesson introduced me to watercolor painting, and quite honestly, shaped my outlook of the world around me. Today at age 71, I can reflect with satisfaction over the course my art studies have taken me, each carbon line, each sable-hair brush stroke, each revealing mistake adding to the library of ideas and language that I use each time I paint. Every time I paint, I learn.
